Zappy Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Zappy ("Zappy," "we," or "us") handles information when you use the Zappy Android application, including its local photo tools, AI photo and style generation, text-to-image generation, background removal, object removal, old-photo restoration, advertising, and subscription features.

By using Zappy, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

2. Information we handle

• Photos and creative inputs. Photos you select, prompts you enter, template or style choices, object-removal regions, and the resulting images. Photos may contain faces, location information, or other personal information that you choose to include.
• Device, app, and network information. Depending on the feature and SDK, this may include Android ID, a randomly generated anonymous installation ID, session and event identifiers, device manufacturer and model, Android version, app version, language, country or region, IP address, network type, carrier, screen size and density, and installation attribution information.
• Usage and entitlement information. Feature usage, ad/reward events, subscription or premium status, product and purchase status, order identifiers, request identifiers, and server-provided usage credits.
• Local app data. Settings, usage counters, cached catalogs, locally cached subscription entitlement dates, temporary processing files, and images that you explicitly save to your device.
• Diagnostics. Crash, performance, and technical event information may be collected by the analytics and crash-reporting SDKs described below.

Zappy currently does not need your name, contacts, microphone, or camera to provide its core features. We do not intentionally request or collect those categories through the app.

3. How we use information

• To let you choose photos, edit photos locally, upload source images, generate or transform images, and return results.
• To provide templates, styles, backgrounds, feature limits, rewards, subscriptions, and purchased credits.
• To display and measure advertising, including rewarded advertising, and to limit repeated or abusive requests.
• To understand feature usage, measure performance, diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and protect the service from fraud or misuse.
• To comply with law, enforce our terms, and respond to valid legal or user requests.

4. AI processing and online services

For online features, Zappy uploads a selected image to our API and then sends the returned image reference, feature selection, prompt, template or style information, and any required editing parameters to the relevant processing service. Results are returned to the app and may be downloaded to your device when you choose to save them.

Images used only with local editing or local filtering tools can be processed on your device. Online processing is provided through our API and related hosting or AI infrastructure providers. We use HTTPS for network requests and may use encrypted request formats for selected API operations, but no Internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

5. Sharing and service providers

We share information only as needed to operate the app, provide a requested feature, support advertising or billing, protect the service, or comply with law. Depending on your use and device settings, recipients may include:

• Our API, hosting, storage, and AI-processing providers: selected photos, prompts, image references, processing parameters, request identifiers, and device or installation identifiers needed to provide the feature.
• Google Mobile Ads and applicable ad partners: device and advertising identifiers, approximate location where provided by the platform, ad requests, impressions, clicks, and reward events. Personalized advertising depends on your device, region, and available consent or ad settings.
• Google Play: subscription and one-time purchase processing. Google Play handles payment credentials; Zappy receives purchase, product, order, and entitlement information needed to confirm access, not your full payment-card details.
• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, Facebook App Events, and Singular: app events, device and installation identifiers, app and OS information, attribution data, advertising or purchase events, and technical diagnostics as configured by those SDKs.
• Authorities or other parties: information where required by law, legal process, or a reasonable need to protect users, the public, or our rights.

We do not use your uploaded photos to target advertisements. If you share an image using Android's share sheet, the image and any information you include will be handled by the app or person you choose to share with.

6. Permissions

• Photos and media: to let you select source images and, where applicable, read the images you choose.
• Storage or media write access on older Android versions: to save generated or edited images to the device gallery.
• Internet: to load catalogs and advertisements, verify purchases or credits, upload images, and obtain AI results.

You can deny or revoke photo and media permissions in Android settings. Online features that require a denied permission may not work, while features that do not need that permission may remain available.

7. Retention and deletion

Temporary upload files are created in the app cache and are deleted after the upload request finishes, fails, or is cancelled. Images that you save remain on your device until you delete them using your device or gallery tools. App settings, usage counters, cached catalogs, and locally cached entitlement information remain until cleared by the app, the operating system, or you.

Our API, storage, AI providers, advertising providers, billing providers, analytics services, and crash-reporting services retain information for the period reasonably necessary to provide their services, prevent abuse, maintain security, meet accounting or legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Exact retention periods may differ by provider and service configuration. Because the current app does not provide an in-app account deletion control, send a deletion or privacy request to the contact below and include enough information for us to identify the relevant request without sending unnecessary sensitive content.

Android backup and device-transfer rules in the current app exclude its local files, databases, shared preferences, external files, and root data from cloud backup and device transfer. This does not delete images that you separately saved to your device gallery or information held by third-party services.

8. Your choices and rights

• Choose whether to grant photo or media access, and choose which images to upload.
• Use Android and Google advertising controls to reset or restrict the advertising identifier and personalized advertising, where available.
• Manage, cancel, or restore subscriptions through Google Play.
• Depending on your jurisdiction, request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information, or object to or withdraw consent for certain processing.

We may need to verify a request and may retain limited information where the law permits or requires it. Third-party services may offer additional controls under their own policies.

9. Children

Zappy is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

10. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border processing. The laws of those countries may differ from the laws in your jurisdiction.

11. Third-party terms

Google Play, Google Mobile Ads, Firebase, Facebook, Singular, hosting providers, AI providers, and apps selected through Android sharing are independent services. Their own privacy policies and terms apply to their processing. Please review those policies before using the related feature.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, services, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or through the distribution channel. Continued use after an update means the updated policy applies to future processing.
